“This book had it’s origins over 40 years ago, when I first came across this poem called “rain” by a New Zealand poet called Hone Tuwhare. I was so impressed that I felt compelled to try to express the words into a calligraphic picture, l had the poem silk screened and in a number of different positions on white & black papers, this gave me a challenge to make different interpretations of the poem. Through experiences and observations of rain l came up with over 50 pieces.
